My daughter likes Roblox and my son LOVES playing Minecraft and I wanted to see how I can make them spend their time productively so decided to give CodaKid a try. I got Roblox course for my daughter and this Minecraft for my son. It was a bit uncomfortable for them to do "learning" instead of just "playing" at first, but after 2-3 times they really got soooooo into this. Unbelievable! Once my son realized what he can do with Minecraft from this course his interest change drastically (same was for my daughter with Roblox). He is learning Java while building his favorite sandbox games.... and also he brags to his friends that he's a "real developer" :)
I don't blame him, kids really do things during this course like real developer - download, setup and use Eclipse and pinta, import resources and all other fun geeky stuff.
This is by far the best self-paced course I've came across. We tried it all, tynker, kodable, etc... all of these were boring for them. CodaKid definitely got it figured out how to keep kids engaged! Really good balance of everything kids need - education, fun, humor and play. Could not wish for a better course.
Oh, and by the way, their tech support is top-notch!

This product arrived damaged and open. We proceeded to follow the set up directions via the card in the box with the code for set up. It says the code does not exist. I am currently waiting to hear back from Codakid customer service and will up date this review with the outcome.
