A vortex lamp, not a lava lamp.
So at first I thought this may be a lava lamp but it’s actually a vortex lamp that swirls with the aid of the included foam balls. I haven’t put it together yet as it’s a Christmas gift for my grandchildren but it will certainly provide hours of entertainment for them, they are 4 & 6. I included the directions as pet of my review as well as all components in the box. It appears to be extremely easy to assemble with minimal parts to get lost or broken. I can’t wait for Christmas to help set this up with the grands! Have fun!

Definitely a more eye catching decoration than an hourglass or lava lamp. You have to be careful with how much air is remaining, you can’t fill it all the way. And the balls will sometimes stick to the sides and lid, so every so often you gave to fix it. But other than that, great item, very nice to relax to when stressed. I loved the one I bought for work so much that I bought one for home too. And i messed that one up so the manufacturer agreed to send me more balls, just like they promise in the manual. UPDATE! See all the balls they sent me! Enough for several refillings. So impressed with customer service.
