I had been using an old phone's WiFi hotspot for security cameras and lighting at a house with no other broadband service, but it was terribly unreliable. This little device is exactly what I needed at a good price point. I would give it 5 stars but for a couple of significant gripes:
- Very poor documentation and lack of an actual app. There is some sort of a Huawei app out in the world, but good luck with that. You'll be able to get it up and running, but not much more. And that is probably all you need.
- The range is just OK. It works well enough for my case, but it's WiFi range is similar to a non-premium cell phone hotspot (go figure).
