This phone is very close to the size of an iPhone Plus - for my man hands I find it very easy to access all areas of the screen with the my thumb while holding the phone in my fingers of the same hand. Note the the advertised memory of 24GB RAM is a little misleading - this includes 12GB of physical RAM plus another 12GB of virtual RAM - this means the OS is swapping apps in memory to the 256GB ROM - in real terms this means occasionally you will see a slow down when switching apps as memory is flushed from/to this slower cache. So don't buy the 24GB RAM nonsense - it is 12GB and then it starts slowing down as swapping (i.e. thrashing) kicks in. The cameras are very nice - 50MP for the back and 8 for the front. it was not that long ago that an 8MP camera on the back was considered cutting edge.

It's great at many tasks: being a phone isn't one of them. For context, I set up this phone with the same carrier (Ting) I have had for the better part of a decade, with whom I have had no previous issues. I have had 3 previous phones attached to their service. This is the only one that went badly.

Voice calling is okay if I have wifi-enhanced calling enabled--and happen to be connected to wifi. text messages rarely get through. When they do, a backlog shows up all at once. Data speeds are pathetic. I am usually stuck on EDGE, rarely popping up to GPRS. If you don't know what those acronyms mean, the speeds are hanging around 2G quality, not 4G (2G was launched in 1991).
I'd love to give a dispassionate review of the better features, like the screen, gaming, etc., but I am just too annoyed that the core function of the thing doesn't work properly. It would be like reviewing the AC unit in a car with no wheels.

Had a problem with the ear piece and left an email with the manufacturer . Still waiting on response. Sent it back. Nice phone apart from the issue with the volume. Unable to hear person on the other end of line
